Yo, fellow readers and fantasy enthusiasts! Today, I am thrilled to offer you an look into the brainstorming sessions for the upcoming book(s) in the Blackguard series. So, grab your favorite drink, settle into your best reading spot, and let's dive into the depths of the Enyiru.
1. Moti and Amanzara
In the second book of the Blackguard series, titled "The Exiled Path," we delve deeper into the intricate world of Askari as Moti, father of Mosi from Way of the Askari, plots vengeance for his son's death. Also introduce in this book is Amanzara. Amanzara, a non-metallic resource, that naturally nullifies boko. For it to retain its anti-boko properties, Amanzara must be forged into with potent ingredients, rare plants, metals, and sacred rituals.
2. Introduction of the Enyiru
But the excitement doesn't stop there. As we look ahead to the third book in the series, I plan on introducing the Enyiru. The Enyiru are an ancient order of warriors. These formidable beings are the only ones to wield weapons forged from Amanzara, adding a layer of complexity and danger to our protagonist's journey.
3. Ru and Uzoma, journey in "The Exiled Path"
The Exiled Path will start with a prologue that shows Ru's mistreatment in his village before witnessing the attack that destroyed his village. The villain for this book will be Moti, father of Mosi from Way of the Askari. After he learns of his son's death and escapes imprisonment to seek justice. Meanwhile, tensions have risen among the leaders of the Kingdoms arises, with Baaku questioned about Ru's actions in that led to deaths of Zaiden, Isoke, and Mosi. A tournament is proposed as way of Ru to seek atonement and redemption. Yet, as Ru grapples with trauma from the torture he suffered at the hands of Akachi, Kanoro, Isoke and Zaiden's friend, is filled with shame and vengeance. Uzoma's initiation into the Askari follows, facing many challenges as a low ranking Askari.
I have scene that I envisioned of Ru and Uzoma facing off against a four Enyiru warriors unlike any they've encountered before. Let me introduce you to the formidable foursome:
🦂 **The Scorpion:** Armed with a retractable spear attached to a chain, this adversary strikes fear with every calculated move.
🐘 **The Elephant:** With an axe featuring blades crafted from elephant tusks, this opponent embodies both strength and cunning.
🐍 **The Snake:** Mastering twin daggers with unparalleled speed and precision, this adversary is as deadly as they come.
🦁 **The Lion:** Sporting gauntlets embedded with claws and a sword, this adversary exudes power and ferocity in equal measure.
Each of these individuals brings a unique set of skills and challenges for our Ru and Uzoma to overcome, promising thrilling battles and heart-pounding moments that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
